Description
A refreshing and light Summer Rosé Sangria combining rosé wine with elderberry liqueur, fresh stone fruits, cherries, and a splash of sparkling water, perfect for warm weather gatherings.
Ingredients
Liquids
- 1 bottle Rosé Wine (750 ml)
- 1/2 Cup St. Germain Elderberry Liqueur
- 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- Sparkling Water (to top off each glass)
Fruits
- 1 Nectarine, pitted and sliced
- 1 Apricot, pitted and sliced
- 1/2 Cup Red Cherries, pitted
- 1/2 Lemon, sliced
Instructions
- Combine Fruit: In a large pitcher, add the pitted and sliced nectarines, apricots, red cherries, and lemon slices to create the fresh fruit base for the sangria.
- Add Liquids: Pour the St. Germain Elderberry Liqueur and freshly squeezed lemon juice over the fruit in the pitcher to enhance the flavor profile with a floral and citrusy touch.
- Mix with Rosé Wine: Pour the entire bottle of rosé wine into the pitcher and stir gently to combine all ingredients. Allow the mixture to chill and the fruit to infuse its flavors into the wine for one hour in the refrigerator.
- Serve: When ready to serve, fill individual glasses with ice cubes. Pour the infused sangria over the ice, distribute the infused fruit pieces evenly among the glasses, and top each glass with a splash of sparkling water for a light and fizzy finish. Optionally, garnish with fresh mint leaves for an aromatic note.
Notes
- For best results, chill the sangria for at least one hour to allow flavors to meld.
- Use fresh, ripe stone fruits for optimal sweetness and flavor.
- Adjust the amount of sparkling water to taste for desired fizz and dilution.
- To keep sangria cold longer, prepare a batch of iced fruit ahead of time.
- Optional garnish with fresh mint adds a pleasant aroma and color contrast.
- This recipe is not suitable for individuals avoiding alcohol.
