Description

Celebrate any patriotic occasion with these festive Red, White & Blue Chocolate Covered Strawberries. Fresh strawberries are dipped in melted white and blue candy melts, then decorated with colorful patriotic jimmies and edible glitter for a stunning, easy-to-make treat that perfectly combines sweetness and style.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 1 pint Strawberries

Chocolate Coatings

  • 1 package Chocolate Candy Melts (Blue and White)

Decorations

  • 1/2 cup Patriotic Jimmies (Patriotic Jimmies, nonpareils, Blue Sugar Crystals, Edible Glitter)

Instructions

  1. Melt the white candy melts: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate candy discs in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until fully melted and smooth.
  2. Dip strawberries in white chocolate: Dip each strawberry about halfway up into the melted white candy, then place them carefully on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Allow to dry completely for 5-10 minutes to set the coating.
  3. Melt the blue candy melts: Repeat the melting process with the blue candy melts, microwaving in 30-second intervals and stirring until smooth and melted.
  4. Dip and decorate strawberries: Dip some strawberries about a quarter way up in the blue candy melts and immediately sprinkle with the patriotic jimmies. Dip others in the white candy melts and add sprinkles as well. Place all decorated strawberries back onto the parchment paper and allow to dry and set completely before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh, firm strawberries for the best results and to prevent sogginess.
  • Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to allow the chocolate to adhere properly.
  • If candy melts start to thicken during dipping, briefly microwave them again for ease of use.
  • You can use toothpicks to dip the strawberries for less mess and easier handling.
  • Store the finished strawberries in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours for best freshness.
