Ingredients
Classic Radish Toast
- 4 pieces bread, thinly sliced and toasted
- Butter, as needed for spreading
- Radishes, thinly sliced (about 8-10 medium radishes)
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
WATC Version Radish Toast
- 4 pieces specialty bread, thinly sliced and toasted
- ½ cup ricotta cheese
- Handful of microgreens
- Radishes, thinly sliced (about 8-10 medium radishes)
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Fresh chives, chopped, about 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Classic Toast: Toast the bread slices until golden brown. While still warm, spread a thin layer of butter evenly on each slice. Arrange the thinly sliced radishes attractively on top, then sprinkle with kosher salt and a little black pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
- Prepare the WATC Version: Toast the specialty bread slices until golden and crisp. Spread a generous helping of ricotta cheese evenly over each slice. Add a sprinkle of fresh microgreens on top. Arrange the thinly sliced radishes attractively over the cheese and microgreens. Finish with a sprinkle of kosher salt, chopped fresh chives, and freshly ground black pepper. Serve right away.
Notes
- Use thinly sliced radishes for a crisp, fresh bite.
- Fresh microgreens add flavor and visual appeal to the ricotta version.
- Specialty bread like sourdough or a rustic whole grain works best for the WATC variation.
- Toast the bread just before serving to maintain crispiness.
- Adjust salt and pepper to your preference for seasoning.
