Ingredients
Base Ingredients
- 4 cups pineapple juice
- 2 cups coconut water (no added sugar)
- ½ cup cream of coconut
- ½ cup lime juice (or more to taste)
- ½ cup non-alcoholic rum (completely optional)
Optional Garnishes
- Coconut rim
- Lime wheels
- Pineapple fronds
- Cherries
Instructions
- Prepare the glass rims (optional): Place some coconut flakes on a shallow plate. Run a wedge of lime along the rim of each glass to moisten it, then dip and press the rim into the coconut flakes. Shake off any excess to create a decorative coconut rim.
- Combine ingredients: In a large pitcher, pour in the pineapple juice, coconut water, cream of coconut, and lime juice. Stir thoroughly to blend all the flavors evenly.
- Taste and adjust: Sample the punch and add more lime juice if you prefer a tangier flavor. If using, stir in the non-alcoholic rum for an extra touch of complexity, though the punch tastes great without it.
- Serve: Fill glasses with ice and pour the punch over. Garnish with lime wheels, pineapple fronds, or cherries if desired, and enjoy chilled.
Notes
- Use no-added-sugar coconut water to keep the sweetness balanced.
- The non-alcoholic rum is optional but adds authentic piña colada flavor.
- Adjust the lime juice to your preferred level of tartness.
- Serve immediately over ice for best freshness.
- Try rimming the glasses with toasted coconut for extra aroma and texture.
