Ready in just 26 minutes, this hearty meal is perfect for a quick and satisfying keto-friendly dinner.

Ingredients

Steak and Seasoning

  • 1 ¼ lb Top Sirloin Steak (sliced)
  • ⅛ tsp Salt and Black Pepper (or to taste)

Vegetables

  • 2 Garlic Cloves (minced)
  • ¾ Cup Green Bell Pepper (chopped)
  • ½ Cup Onion (chopped)
  • ⅔ Cup Mushrooms (sliced)

Liquids and Sauces

  • 1½ Cup Beef Broth
  • 1 Tbsp GF Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Avocado Oil (or Butter)

Spices

  • 1 tsp Italian Seasonings
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • ½ tsp Sea Salt (or to taste)
  • ¼ tsp Black Pepper (or to taste)

Dairy and Cheese

  • 4 oz Cream Cheese (Softened)
  • ⅓ Cup Mayonnaise
  • ⅔ Cup Shredded Cheddar or Jack Cheese
  • 5 Slices Provolone Cheese

Instructions

  1. Freeze the steak: Place the top sirloin steak in the freezer for 20 to 30 minutes to firm it up, making it easier to slice into medium thin to thin strips.
  2. Preheat Instant Pot: Set your Instant Pot to the Sauté function to heat up and prepare for browning the ingredients.
  3. Season the steak: Remove the steak from the freezer, slice it as directed, and season lightly with salt and black pepper.
  4. Sauté steak and vegetables: Add avocado oil or butter to the hot Instant Pot, then add minced garlic, sliced steak, chopped onion, green bell pepper, and sliced mushrooms. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 4 to 5 minutes until the steak is nicely browned.
  5. Deglaze the pot: Press Cancel to turn off the Sauté mode. Pour beef broth into the pot and use a wooden spoon to scrape the bottom, loosening flavorful browned bits.
  6. Add seasonings: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, sea salt, and additional black pepper to enhance the flavor.
  7. Pressure cook: Secure the lid on the Instant Pot, lock it, and set the pressure valve to Sealing. Select Pressure Cook (or Manual), set to High Pressure for 6 minutes.
  8. Natural pressure release: Allow the Instant Pot to naturally release pressure for 10 minutes after cooking completes without opening the valve.
  9. Quick release remaining pressure: After 10 minutes, carefully turn the valve to Venting to release any remaining pressure, then unlock and remove the lid once safe.
  10. Add creamy cheeses: Stir in softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and shredded cheddar or jack cheese directly in the pot until everything melts smoothly and combines.
  11. Serve: Spoon the cheesy steak mixture into bowls and top each with slices of provolone cheese. Serve immediately while hot and melty.

Notes

  • Freezing the steak slightly makes slicing much easier and helps achieve thin strips for better texture.
  • You can substitute avocado oil with butter or olive oil depending on preference.
  • Use gluten-free Worcestershire sauce if you require a gluten-free meal.
  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or hot sauce while sautéing.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated in the microwave or stovetop.
