Description

A refreshing and lightly sweetened iced guava white tea lemonade that combines the delicate flavors of white tea with tropical guava juice and a hint of fresh lemon. Perfect for warm days, this easy-to-make beverage offers a cooling and citrusy twist on classic iced tea.

Ingredients

Tea Base

  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 tsp honey (optional, plus additional to taste)
  • 1 bag white tea
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes (plus additional for serving)

Juices

  • 1 cup guava juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed, about 1/4-1/2 lemon, plus additional to taste)

Instructions

  1. Steep the Tea: In a large measuring cup, dissolve the honey (if using) in 1/2 cup of boiling water to ensure even sweetness. Add the white tea bag and allow it to steep for 10 minutes, extracting the delicate flavor of the tea.
  2. Cool the Tea: After 10 minutes, add 1/2 cup of ice cubes to the measuring cup. This cools the tea, allowing it to steep further and become chilled over an additional 10 minutes.
  3. Add Juices: Once the tea is sufficiently steeped and chilled, mix in the guava juice and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Adjust lemon and honey to taste if desired.
  4. Serve: Place a generous amount of ice in one large glass or two small glasses. Pour the iced guava white tea lemonade over the ice and serve immediately for a refreshing drink.

Notes

  • Honey is optional; adjust sweetness according to preference or substitute with sugar or other sweeteners.
  • Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best flavor and freshness.
  • Guava juice can be substituted with other tropical juices like mango or pineapple for variety.
  • The steeping time can be adjusted depending on how strong you like your tea.
  • For a fizzy version, add a splash of sparkling water before serving.
