Description

These Homemade Peach Ring Gummies are a delightful and healthy treat made with real peaches and natural sweeteners. Perfect for a refreshing snack, these gummies combine natural fruit juice and gelatin to create a chewy, fruity candy that's easy to make and free from artificial flavors and preservatives.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb peaches, peeled and sliced (defrosted frozen peaches recommended)
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp + 1 tsp gelatin
  • 2 tbsp honey

Optional

  • Granulated sweetener for coating (such as sugar or a sugar substitute)

Instructions

  1. Blend Peaches and Juice: Add the peeled peaches and orange juice to a blender or food processor. Blend until fully liquid. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer over a medium pot using a silicone spatula to push down the pulp, extracting about 1 1/4 cups of peach juice.
  2. Combine Juice and Honey: Pour the strained peach juice into the pot and stir in the honey until well combined.
  3. Add Gelatin: Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the peach mixture and lightly stir. Let the gelatin absorb and harden for about 2 minutes.
  4. Heat Mixture: Place the pot over low heat on the stove and warm the mixture gently for 3-4 minutes, stirring until the gelatin completely dissolves and the liquid is smooth and fully combined.
  5. Fill Molds: Using a dropper, carefully transfer the warm liquid into gummy molds or pour into a large glass container for shaping.
  6. Chill to Set: Refrigerate the molds for 4-6 hours or until the gummies are fully set and firm.
  7. Remove and Coat Gummies: Carefully pop the gummies out of the molds. Toss them gently in granulated sweetener if desired to prevent sticking and add a slight crunch.
  8. Store Properly: Keep the gummies stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for the freshest taste and best texture.

Notes

  • Peeling peaches before blending ensures a smooth gummy texture without skins.
  • Using defrosted frozen peaches works well and is convenient year-round.
  • The granulated sweetener coating is optional but helps prevent gummies from sticking together.
  • For firmer gummies, adjust the gelatin amount slightly, but avoid overuse as it may make them too tough.
  • Gummies are best stored refrigerated and consumed within a week for optimal freshness.
