Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups strong brewed coffee, frozen into cubes
- 1 ½ Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 Tbsp. maple syrup or honey
- 1 ½ tsp. vanilla extract
- ¾ cup ice
- ½ cup half and half or dairy-free creamer
- Milk of choice (~1 to 1 ½ cups)
Chocolate Drizzle
- 2 tbsp. chocolate chips
- ½ tsp. coconut oil
Topping
- Whipped topping of choice
Instructions
- Freeze Coffee Cubes: Brew strong coffee and pour it into a silicone ice cube tray. Freeze until solid to create coffee cubes that will chill and flavor the frappe.
- Blend Ingredients: Place the frozen coffee cubes, unsweetened cocoa powder, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, ice, and half and half or dairy-free creamer into a blender. Start blending on low speed, gradually increasing the speed while adding milk of choice as needed to reach a smooth, blendable consistency.
- Prepare Chocolate Drizzle: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together, stirring continuously until you achieve a smooth, drizzly sauce.
- Assemble and Serve: Drizzle the melted chocolate along the inside walls of two serving glasses. Divide the blended mocha frappe evenly between the prepared glasses. Top each with whipped topping and additional chocolate drizzle if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute maple syrup or honey with your preferred natural sweetener or omit for less sugar.
- Use dairy-free creamer and non-dairy milk to make this frappe vegan.
- Adjust the amount of milk to achieve your preferred consistency—thicker or more drinkable.
- Strong brewed coffee ensures bold flavor even when iced and blended.
- For an extra coffee kick, add a shot of espresso before blending.
