Description

Tender and flavorful baby back ribs slow-cooked in a rich, tangy homemade barbeque sauce, perfectly prepared in a Crockpot for a hands-off, delicious meal ideal for any casual gathering or family dinner.

Ingredients

Barbeque Sauce Mixture

  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 3 tsp Minced garlic

Ribs

  • 4-5 lb Baby back ribs
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a large Ziploc bag, combine the BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, cayenne pepper, and brown sugar. Mix well to create a flavorful barbeque sauce mixture.
  2. Season the Ribs: Season the baby back ribs with salt and black pepper according to your taste preferences. Then cut the ribs into sections or separate into individual ribs for better saucing and cooking.
  3. Coat the Ribs: Place the seasoned ribs into the Ziploc bag with the sauce mixture. Seal the bag and toss it thoroughly to coat each rib evenly with the sauce.
  4. Arrange in Crockpot: Spread the sauced ribs evenly inside the Crockpot in a single layer for even cooking.
  5. Add Sauce: Pour approximately three-quarters of the remaining BBQ sauce mixture from the bag over the ribs in the Crockpot, reserving the rest for serving.
  6. Cook the Ribs: Cover the Crockpot and cook the ribs on high for 4 to 5 hours until the ribs are tender and infused with BBQ flavor.
  7. Serve: Once cooked, serve the ribs hot with the reserved sauce on the side for dipping or additional flavor if desired.

Notes

  • For even more tender ribs, you can cook on low for 6-7 hours instead of high for 4-5 hours.
  • Cutting ribs into sections before cooking helps the sauce penetrate better and speeds the cooking process.
  • Reserve some sauce for serving to add extra moisture and flavor.
  • Leftover ribs can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for longer storage.
  • Adjust cayenne pepper amount to control spiciness.
