Description

This Cinnamon Roll Breakfast Smoothie is a quick and nutritious way to start your day, combining the flavors of cinnamon rolls with the health benefits of Greek yogurt, oats, and frozen bananas. It's creamy, naturally sweetened, and perfect for a busy morning or a wholesome snack.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • ½ cup (125 mL) quick oats
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Fruits and Vegetables

  • 2 bananas, frozen
  • 1 cup (250 mL) riced cauliflower (homemade or store bought)

Dairy and Alternatives

  • 1 cup (250 mL) plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 ½ cups (375 mL) milk of choice (unsweetened vanilla almond milk recommended)

Others

  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) almond butter
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) vanilla extract (optional, if using plain yogurt)
  • Maple syrup to taste (optional, if using plain yogurt)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Gather all ingredients including oats, frozen bananas, riced cauliflower, almond butter, Greek yogurt, vanilla extract (if using), ground cinnamon, milk, and a pinch of salt to ensure smooth blending and optimal flavor.
  2. Blend Ingredients: Add oats, bananas, cauliflower, almond butter, Greek yogurt, vanilla extract (if using), ground cinnamon, milk, and salt into a high-speed blender. Blend on high for approximately 60 to 90 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
  3. Adjust Sweetness and Serve: Taste the smoothie, and if desired, add maple syrup to sweeten. Blend briefly again to mix the syrup. Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Using frozen bananas gives the smoothie a creamy texture and natural sweetness without added sugars.
  • Riced cauliflower adds fiber and nutrients while keeping the smoothie low in calories.
  • Optional maple syrup and vanilla extract enhance sweetness and flavor, especially when using plain Greek yogurt.
  • This smoothie can be adapted to vegan by using plant-based yogurt and milk alternatives.
  • For thicker smoothie, reduce milk quantity or increase frozen banana.
