Description
Candy Grapes, also known as Jello Grapes, are a fun and colorful frozen treat where fresh grapes are coated with vibrant layers of flavored gelatin to create a sweet and tangy snack perfect for hot days or parties.
Ingredients
Ingredients
- 1 lb grapes
- 1 box raspberry jello
- 1 box berry blue jello
- 1 box orange jello
- 1 box lime jello
- 1 box lemon jello
- 1 box grape jello
- 1 cup water (for dipping)
Instructions
- Prepare Grapes: Begin by removing the grapes from their stems and washing them thoroughly in a colander to ensure they are clean and ready for coating.
- Prepare Jello Flavors: Pour one cup of water into a small dish. Then place each flavor of jello (raspberry, berry blue, orange, lime, lemon, and grape) separately into small dishes or spread onto paper plates to make dipping easier.
- Coat Grapes: Take a grape and pierce it at the end with a toothpick. Dip the grape lightly into the water to moisten it, then immediately dip it into your chosen jello flavor, making sure it gets evenly coated.
- Arrange Grapes: Place the coated grapes onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Organize them by flavor for a visually appealing and easy-to-serve presentation.
- Freeze Grapes: Place the cookie sheet with the coated grapes into the freezer. Freeze them for at least one hour or until the grapes are thoroughly frozen and the jello coating has set solid.
Notes
- Use seedless grapes for a better eating experience.
- If preferred, mix the jello powder with the water to create a thicker coating, but the recipe here uses dry powder to stick directly to wet grapes for a crunchy texture.
- Be sure to place grapes spaced apart on the cookie sheet so the coating doesn’t stick grapes together while freezing.
- Serve immediately after freezing for the best texture and flavor.
