Ingredients
For the Burger
- 2 brioche buns
- 2 Classic Burger Patties*
- 4 tablespoons garlic & herb cheese
For the Bruschetta Topping
- ½ large roma tomato, diced
- ⅛ medium yellow onion, diced
- ¼ teaspoon minced garlic
- ½ teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 pinch sea salt
For Drizzling
- Extra virgin olive oil (for drizzling)
- Balsamic vinegar (for drizzling)
Instructions
- Prepare Tomato Bruschetta: In a medium bowl, combine the diced roma tomato, yellow onion, minced garlic, olive oil, and sea salt. Stir well until all ingredients are evenly mixed. Set this mixture aside to let the flavors meld.
- Toast Brioche Buns: Preheat your oven to 170°F (75°C). Place the brioche buns cut-side up on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for about 10 minutes or until they turn lightly golden and slightly crisp.
- Grill Burger Patties: While the buns toast, preheat a cast iron grill pan over medium-high heat for approximately 5 minutes. Place the classic burger patties onto the hot pan and cook for 4 to 5 minutes. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, ensuring they reach your desired level of doneness.
- Drizzle Buns: Remove the toasted brioche buns from the oven and place them on plates. Lightly drizzle extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the cut side of the top buns to add a tangy and rich flavor.
- Assemble Burgers: Once the burgers are cooked, transfer them to the bottom halves of the brioche buns. Spread about 2 tablespoons of garlic & herb cheese on each burger patty. Then top each with a spoonful or two of the prepared bruschetta mixture.
- Serve: Close the burgers with the top buns and serve immediately. Enjoy your Bruschetta Burger with your favorite sides and a cold beverage.
Notes
- Classic burger patties can be beef, turkey, or plant-based depending on preference.
- To ensure even toasting, keep an eye on the buns as oven temperatures may vary.
- Adjust cooking time of patties based on thickness and preferred doneness.
- Feel free to add fresh basil or a sprinkle of Parmesan to the bruschetta for extra flavor.
- This recipe serves 2 but can be easily scaled up for more servings.
