Description

A delightful and creamy Banana Pudding Lasagna featuring layers of vanilla wafer crust, smooth cheesecake mixture, banana pudding, and fresh bananas. This no-bake dessert is perfect for gatherings and is chilled to set before serving.

Ingredients

Crust Ingredients:

  • 2 (11 oz) boxes vanilla wafers
  • 6 tbsp butter, melted

Cheesecake Layer Ingredients:

  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Banana Pudding Layer Ingredients:

  • 1 (3.4 oz) box banana pudding mix
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 5 large bananas, sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Place one box of vanilla wafers in a blender or food processor and blend into fine crumbs. Mix the vanilla wafer crumbs with the melted butter using a fork until combined well.
  2. Form the crust layer: Press the buttered vanilla wafer crumb mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Set aside while preparing the next layers.
  3. Make the cheesecake layer: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until the mixture is fluffy and smooth.
  4. Add cream and vanilla: Add the heavy whipping cream and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture. Beat until stiff peaks form, creating a light and airy texture.
  5. Prepare banana pudding: In a separate mixing bowl, beat the banana pudding mix with milk until it thickens. Then, fold this pudding mixture into the cream cheese mixture until fully blended.
  6. Layer the dessert: Spread half of the cheesecake mixture evenly over the prepared crust layer in the baking dish.
  7. Add banana slices: Arrange a layer of sliced bananas evenly over the cheesecake layer.
  8. Add a vanilla wafer layer: Place a layer of whole vanilla wafers on top of the banana slices.
  9. Top with remaining cheesecake mixture: Spread the remaining half of the cheesecake mixture evenly over the vanilla wafers.
  10. Second banana layer: Add another layer of sliced bananas on top of the cheesecake mixture.
  11. Sprinkle crushed wafers: Crush the remaining vanilla wafers into smaller chunks and sprinkle these over the top banana layer for added texture.
  12. Chill and serve: Refrigerate the assembled Banana Pudding Lasagna for at least 2 hours to allow it to set and flavors to meld before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use ripe but firm bananas to prevent browning and mushiness.
  • You can prepare this dessert a day in advance; flavors improve after chilling overnight.
  • If desired, garnish with whipped cream or additional crushed vanilla wafers before serving.
  • Keep refrigerated until ready to serve to maintain texture and freshness.
